Day 2 – Well done!

Just for the Sun we have to wait at the Hohe Salve today. Coll, but dry 400 runners started in their race today at the Kaisermarathon. An hour later more than 75 walker followed at the Hohe Salve Gipfelmarsch - a new race, which premiered today.

At the mens race Jakob Stenzl (GER) and Thomas Roach (GBR) had a exciting fight, at the end Stenzl wins. Jakob Stenzl was overwhelmed winning the first Kaisermarathon he did and just in seconds he was thinking to run the whole Tour de Tirol next year. Thomas Roach – fair sportsman – gave his congrats to the new winner and promised to come back next year at the 20 anniverary of the Tour de Tirol to win his Kaisermarathon back. With Livio Maskarin (CRO) the winner's podium was full. 

Also the ladies delivered 42 exciting kilometers. At the end Severine Petersen (GER) had the victorious smile. Followed by Madlen Kappeler (GER) and Irene Abfalterer (USA).

Elisabeth Heinrich and Dominik Schwaiger were the fastest Ösis on top today, both endet up at position 9.

The fastest runners had to handle their race with cool temperatures and thick clouds, the rest of the running field with more than 33 nation in it was gifted with warm autumn sun.
